Andrew C. Thomsen, 26, of 2000 N. Linden St. No. M 106, Normal, died at 9:30 a.m. Saturday (March 9, 1996) at his home. His funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Trinity Lutheran Church, Normal, the Rev. Ernest L. Gerike officiating. Burial will be in East Lawn Memorial Gardens, Bloomington. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at the Kibler-Smith Memorial Home, Bloomington, and one hour prior to the service at the church. Memorials may be made to the Leukemia Society of America, 6 N. Michigan Ave. No. 506, Chicago, 60602 or to the scholarship fund of Trinity Lutheran School, Bloomington.

He is survived by his parents, Gailyn and Barbara Thomsen, Sidney, Ohio; three sisters, Lisa Geiger, Indianapolis; Lana Blair, Sussex, N.J.; Laura Worl, Michigan City, Ind.; one brother, Lynn Thomsen, Jacksonville, Fla.; his maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Andy Theiman, Plainview, Neb.

Mr. Thomsen was born Jan. 18, 1970, in Sioux City, Iowa. He died after a 1 1/2 year battle with leukemia.

He was a graduate of Trinity Lutheran School, Bloomington, and University High School, Normal. He received a B.S. degree in aviation management from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale.

Andy was a corporate pilot for Wildwood Industries.

He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Bloomington.
