Marjorie Gass

Funeral services for Marjorie Gass, 81, of Norman were held May 10, 2004 at Lakeside Church of God with the Reverends Charlie Isaacs, Reggie Dowdy, Kenneth Adams and R.J. Byrd officiating. Interment was at Dibble Cemetery under the direction of Primrose Funeral Service.

Mrs. Gass died May 6, 2004.

She was born Jan. 26, 1923 in Washington, the daughter of James Newton and Sadie (Thompson) Holbrook.

In 1946 she married Charlie Clifford Gass in Norman.

She retired from Norman Regional Hospital after 17 years and worked 13 years in the Norman Public School System.

She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; a daughter, Joyce Mize and an infant daughter, Martha Jo Gass.

Survivors include a son, Charlie Gass and his wife, Brenda, of Norman; two daughters, Sara Bidwell and her husband, David, of Purcell and Louise Littlejohn and her husband, Tom, of Norman; a sister, Carrie Murphy of Ridgecrest, Calif.; 10 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Spanky Bidwell, Mark Gass, Mike Gass, Danny Misenheimer, Jeremy Isaacs, Jason Mize, Tom Littlejohn and Bobby Isaacs.

Honorary pallbearers were her neighborhood families including Dogion Family, Dye Family, Wade Family, Weaver Family, Hoahwah Family, Price Family, Bettis Family and the Nuss Family.
