
Cynthia "Cindy" (Keen) Brockhaus, DPh was born in Norman, Oklahoma on Valentine's Day, 1949 to Donald Jay, Sr. and Patricia Jean (Lydick) Keen. She passed at the age of 67 on Monday, May 16, 2016.
Cindy attended The University of Oklahoma was a member of the Delta Delta Delta sorority and in 1974 she received her Doctorate of Pharmacy. Cindy met Phillip D. Brockhaus in 1966 and they were married at McFarlin Methodist Church, by Father Rihn in Norman on December 22, 1969. They welcomed their only child, daughter Randi, in 1984. Cindy loved her work at Noble Pharmacy, but the job she loved most was being a wife and mother, both to Randi and to her Schnauzer puppies, which she fondly referred to as her "furr babies".
Cindy and Phil made St. Joseph their Church home, and Cindy was very active in her Church community. Though she converted to Catholicism when she married Phil, she completely embraced the faith and became more knowledgeable and devout than many who were raised Catholic!
A lifelong resident of Norman, Cindy was very involved in the community. She had a passion for community service and was an active member of both the Junior League and the Assistance League of Norman. Cindy was also an avid OU football fan and enjoyed tailgating with her friends and family. She also treasured their yearly family vacations to South Padre Island.
Cindy was preceded in death by: parents Donald and Patricia Keen; brothers Chris Keen and Don Keen; paternal grandparents Paul V. And Ireen Keen; maternal grandparents CS and Frances "Mur" Lydick.
Cindy is survived by her husband Phil, her daughter Randi, her "furr babies", and many friends.

Services have been entrusted to Tribute Memorial Care in Norman. There will be a prayer vigil at 6:30 pm on Thursday, May 19 at St. Charles Borromeo Chapel (421 E Acres, Norman). The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church (211 N Porter, Norman) at 10:30 am on Friday, May 20. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
