
Wanda Jean Keester was born September 09, 1949 to her parents, Donald William and Ima Jeane Keester. She was the younger sister of Donald Wayne Keester.
Wanda was born in Oklahoma City, but she attended grade school, middle school, and high school in Norman, Oklahoma. Eventually graduating from Norman High School in 1967. She went on to obtain her bachelor’s degree from the University of Oklahoma in 1971.
She married her lifelong spouse, Lloyd Rinderer, of 54 years in 1969. Wanda preceded him in death leaving behind their two children, Christina Marshall of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and Cynthia Crabtree of Parrish, Florida. They were blessed to have Jeff Crabtree as their son-in-law and three grandchildren, Amara Marshall, Jeffrey Crabtree, and Cheyenne Crabtree. Surviving relatives include her brother, Donald Wayne Keester, sister-in-law, Pam, niece Karen and nephew David Keester. She is also survived by sister-in-law, Patricia Miller and brother-in-law, Thomas Miller. Wanda was blessed to have many cousins, extended relatives, and friends in her lifetime.
She was a woman of profound faith and was devoted to her Lord and Savior, Jesus throughout her life. Her greatest calling was to take care of her ailing parents and relatives, which she considered to be a great honor. Wanda was a member of various United Methodist Churches during her lifetime, including McFarlin United Methodist Church in Norman, Oklahoma. She was also a member of First United Methodist Church of Blanchard, Oklahoma. She enjoyed singing and playing the piano in both churches.
Wanda spent the last 14 years of her life in Florida where she enjoyed traveling on cruises with her husband and making many fun-filled memories with her grandchildren. Wanda was known and remembered for her compassion, kindness, and welcoming spirit. She always had a scripture ready for those who needed guidance and her door was always open for those who needed to feel the love of Christ. She will be greatly missed by everyone who knew her and loved her. It gives the family peace to know she is finally home with her beloved Jesus.
A funeral service for Wanda will be held Monday, July 8, 2024 at 1:00 PM at Primrose Funeral Service, 1109 North Porter Ave, Norman, OK 73071, with a reception after. Wanda will be laid to rest in Norman IOOF Cemetery, 1913 N Porter Ave, Norman, OK 73071.
