I first met Craig in the summer of 1964. He lived across the street from me on Oakbrook and he was the very first friend I met in Norman after we moved here from Denver. His mom was so nice. I rememer exciting ventures wading Imhoff Creek in our tennis shoes and jean shorts all the way to the South Canadian River searching for frogs and turtles, and riding our sting-ray bikes to the old South Base to "explore" the empty buildings, and digging for 50-caliber slugs in the row of rifle-range mounds where the Museum of Natural History sets today.  We were classmates all the way thru McKinley, West, and NHS, and remained friends from day one. I recall talking with "bow-legged" Craig at one of our early class reunions about his chimney sweep business and he was my fireplace guy for years. I last talked with Craig on Main Street in October and he looked well but was going thru some hard times. We talked about having lunch "soon", but I never followed up... and now I read his memorial....I will miss him.
