GREEN Jean Ellen (Terry) Green of Vinita, formerly of Norman, died on Saturday, Sept. 2, 2000 at the family home after a long and courageous battle with brain cancer. She was the daughter of Fran Terry and the late Charles M. Terry of Norman and the wife of Keith Green. She was born Feb. 27, 1955 at Johnson AFB, Irumagawa, Honshu, Japan. Her father's Air Force career led them to homes in Texas, the Philippines, Virginia, Alabama and Washington DC. When her father retired they returned to Norman to live. Jean met her future husband during her high school years. While at O.U. she was a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma. She received her BS and MSN from O U. Jean worked in nursing at University Hospital, Stillwater Hospital and Craig General Hospital and taught nursing for ten years at NEO in Miami, and two years at Wesleyan College in Bartlesville. She also taught seminars in various states preparing nurses for state examinations. She was active in the Oklahoma State Nurses' Association. Sons, Vernon 14, and Braden 10, were born after the family moved to Vinita. Jean was a dedicated wife and mother, and active volunteer in schools, community and church life.

Carolyn Heck (Trent)
When I was in the 9th grade, my family moved to Okeene, Oklahoma for about 6 months. I remember Jeannie writing me letters all the time keeping me up-to-date on the happenings in Norman. I treasured those letters! Miss you Jeannie. Carolyn Heck Bechtold
Debbie Hewitt (Christian)
Richard and I dropped in on Jeannie and Keith during a camping trip at Grand Lake. They were fostering a bob cat that helped itself to the ground beef thawing on the counter. I remember her taking it all in stride and explaining that you can't take meat away from a wild animal. We laughed about never dreaming about having such a conversation when we were in high school.
