September 7, 1955 - October 14, 2012 OKLAHOMA CITY With love and devotion of family surrounding him, Michael [Glen] Evans, 57, of Oklahoma City, passed away peacefully at home on October 14, 2012. Born in Albany, Georgia on September 7, 1955 to Carolyn and Tommy Evans, Mike was a loving son, husband and father. Mike married Pamela Kay Simonsen on July 20, 1985 at The First United Methodist Church in Oklahoma City, and together they enjoyed an enriched life for 27 years. Mike was a prominent builder and contractor in the Oklahoma City and Nichols Hills area. Mike and his family attended Aerial Chapel in Norman where he served as an active member of the church's praise and worship team. Playing the drums during Sunday morning service and remodeling the building were true passions of his. He is predeceased by his father Tommy Evans. Mike is survived by his wife Pamela, son Laban, daughters Kaylen and Libby, of the home; also, married daughter Sara Short, her husband Chris, and granddaughter Audry; his mother Carolyn Evans, brother Brian, sister Sherry Trammel and her husband Roger, in addition to numerous nieces and nephews.
