Lex Kerry Keim, 55, passed away Wednesday, June 6, 2012, in Norman.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Havenbrook Funeral Home chapel.

Lex was born Aug. 3, 1956, in Norman to Howard and Doris (Arrington) Keim. Lex was a technician for Energy Analyst for the past 15 years. He was a drummer at heart and enjoyed building drums and writing music. One of the highlights of his music career was opening for ZZ Top. 

Lex enjoyed fishing, carpentry and spending time with his family and friends. 

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Richard L. Keim; and two sisters, Nancy Heim and Kathi Bodholdt. 

Survivors include his wife, Melinda McCarthy of the home; stepson, Chris McCarthy and Sophia Mendros of Oklahoma City; three brothers, Lynn Keim and wife Jane of Lexington, Daf Keim and wife Vicki of Norman and Patrick Keim of Cowetta; sister, Diana Tiffany of Norman; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from noon to 8 p.m. today and from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Havenbrook Funeral Home. 

Arrangements are by Havenbrook Funeral Home in Norman.
