Erik Banks was Born on May 27, 1971 in Los Angeles, CA to Berry Banks and Lillis Pouti. Erik was living in Portland Oregon at the time of his death on January 1st, 1993 at the age of 21 years, 7 months and 5 days. 

His mother discribed Erik as funny and loving. She said though he struggled at the age of 17 with trouble finding himself and had the misfortune of getting involved with the wrong group, Erik had made strides in the last year of his life, earning his GED. Erik was also engaged to be married and was the father to an infact son.
