I graduated from Eureka College in 1993 with a B.A. in Social Science and Business with honors. Then attended Chicago-Kent College of Law at Illinois Institute of Technology and obtained my J.D. in 1996. I started practicing law in Canton with Krugliak, Wilkins, Griffiths & Daughtery from 1995 to 1999 (did a clerkship there before graduation), and met my future husband - Matthew - there (he was a paralegal going to night school for his masters in economics at Akron Univ. and, uggh, a Jackson High School alum!). We got engaged and moved to Atlanta in June, 1999, married in September, 1999. I then moved to a large firm and did class action and large construction litigation cases while Matt finished his Ph.D. at Emory University. After our daughter was born, I went back to work for a while, but she has medical issues (Mitochondrial Disease - www.umdf.org) so I quit work to be a stay at home mom. Matt is a professor at Georgia Tech in the Business School (College of Management) and we live in Duluth, Georgia, a suburb of Atlanta.
