Geneva M. Rhoades
Geneva Mae Rhoades, age 65, of North East, MD, was granted her angel wings on Monday, July 31, 2017. Her final days were spent surrounded by family and friends whom she touched throughout her short yet very memorable life.
Born in North East on November 7, 1951, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Verna Lance Griffith.
Neva retired from the Cecil County Health Department. She enjoyed gardening and trips to the beach. But her greatest joy came from spending time with her family whom she loved so much.
Survivors include her daughters, Amy Carlisle and Lorie Blevins (Robbie), both of North East, MD; grandchildren, Madison, Lance and Kristina; and siblings, Margie DeBoard and Ronnie Griffith (Jodi), both of North East, MD.
In addition to her parents, Neva was preceded in death by the love of her life, her husband, Lester Rhoades; step-daughter, Jodi Morales; and siblings, Bobby Griffith and Gail Wilson.
Neva touched the hearts of many with her love and compassion. She brought joy to everyone who knew her. The world has lost a very beautiful and caring person who left it a better place for all she has done.
Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, August 4, 2017, at Hicks Home for Funerals, 103 W. Stockton Street, Elkton, MD, where visitation will begin at 10 a.m. Interment will be in North East Methodist Cemetery, North East.
