Carmen's obituary

On Saturday, September 23, 2023, Carmen “Caren Marie” M. Wesson passed away at North Kansas City Hospital at the age of 79.

Carmen was born on June 30, 1944, to Everett and (Mary) Carmen Davis. She graduated from North Kansas City High School in 1962, at which time she started her career with Owens Corning Fiberglas. She focused the remainder of her career as a paralegal at various law firms over the next 40 years.

Carmen married David Wesson on February 13, 1984. Carmen was predeceased by her father, Everett Davis (1990); her mother, (Mary) Carmen Davis (2000), her paternal grandparents, Alfred and Myrtle Davis; her maternal grandparents, George Bryan and Sylvia Grace Kelley, as well as by her nephew, Christopher Bryan George (2014).

Carmen is survived by her husband of 39 years, David E. Wesson of the home, a daughter, Kelley Bagley; a stepson, Bradley Buchta; a granddaughter, Melissa Kendrick; great-grandchildren, Brett Kendrick, Abbey Kendrick, and Dannika Kendrick; her sister, Susan George and one niece, Jessica Burks. Additionally, she is survived by great nieces and nephews, Matthew Burks, Mackenzie Burks, Grace Burks, and Callen Parra. Her wonderful upbeat outlook on life and unconditional love will be sorely missed by family and friends.

No public memorial service or funeral is planned. Carmen would ask that in lieu of any donations for those that are interested, please pay a kind deed forward when the opportunity presents itself. Spread her light to honor her.
