Beverly died August 9, 2003 of cancer. She was a biochemist and teacher of histotechnology. At the time of her death she had been the Medical Director of the M. D. Anderson Cancer Hospital in Houston, Texas, I believe. She held that post for 20 years. She was also active in starting histotechnology programs in some colleges. Beverly contracted cancer at the age of 43. Her ashes were spread along the Natchez Trace Trail a year after she died. I will post more info (with more accuracy) as I receive it.
