Anne and I were best friends in high school and were roommates our freshman year at Georgia. My mother died in 1995. After her funeral, Anne told me that the thing she remembered most about my mother was that she was always laughing. Anne died the next year, and I thought, "Anne, that's what I remember the most about you -- you were always laughing." RIP.
