Cindy Holmes (O'Brien) VIEW PROFILE

Cynthia Ann Holmes OBrien, 49, of Epsom, NH, formerly of Fayville, MA, passed away unexpectedly on October 26, 2012. She was the wife of Paul OBrien and the devoted mother to her daughter, Jennifer. Born in Framingham, Cindy was the beloved daughter of Arthur Holmes of Fayville, and the late Janet Gilinsky Holmes. She graduated from Algonquin Regional High School and attended Framingham State College. Growing up, Cindy loved camping, fishing, hiking and spending time on the Cape with her family and friends. Her hobbies included knitting and crocheting. A former nurse aide at Countryside Nursing Home in Framingham, Cindys exemplary work ethic has long been commemorated in the annual presentation of the Holmes Award to a dedicated employee. Cindy later moved to New Hampshire where she was employed by the state for twelve years in the Office of Cost Containment before leaving to spend more time at home. She and Jen shared time making specialized gifts for others. She was very involved in Jens dance and school activities and together they volunteered at the Epsom Library. Jen was the joy of her life. Cindy is survived by her sisters Donna Davis and husband, Chip, of Marlboro, MA, and Lynn Morin and her husband, Ken, of Fayville, her brothers Kenneth Holmes of Auburn, MA, and David Holmes and his wife, Debi of Franklin, MA. She leaves behind several nieces, nephews, cousins and an aunt, Ruth Gilinsky of Framingham, as well as many dear friends. She will be forever remembered for her spirit of giving and putting family and friends before herself.
