My friend since 5th grade, Lori stayed with me for three weeks last September. The last time I spent that much time with her was in our 20's when we went to Israel and Egypt together. I am so grateful and blessed to have had so much time with her, as a month later she danced with the Angels in heaven. She was a sister to me and we laughed often. I flew out to California with Lori's younger sister Susan to say goodbye. Lori's older sister Marlene, in L.A., held Shiva for her. It matters not how she died, but how she lived. She had a big heart and we always had so much fun together! I miss her dearly.
This is a great picture, and a really thoughtful post. You two look like you were really happy to be together. I am sorry for your loss of your friend.
