Death Notice: DIANE WELLINGTON FLOOD April 23, 2008 Diane Wellington Flood,nee Diane Ruth Wellington, born Nov. 28, 1961 in Evanston, IL, died at her home in Kenosha, WI on April 17, 2008, after a four year battle with brain cancer.

Diane grew up in Northfield, IL and attended Avoca School in Wilmette and New Trier West High School in Northfield. Diane studied xray technology at Oakton Community College. Taking xrays, Diane met her future husband,Patrick. They were wed at St. Philip Catholic Church in Northfield on Aug. 17, 1985. Diane and Pat located to Royal Oak, MI, where Diane took xrays while her husband finished his emergency medicine residency. They returned to Illinois, living in Gurnee and Mundelein before moving to Kenosha. They were blessed with Tim, in 1988, and Molly, in 1990. Diane taught Catholic religious education at St. Mark Church and was active in the Lioness Club of Kenosha. She was a representative for Longaberger baskets. Diane had a comic talent and an infectious laugh, as her many friends can attest, and lived a life defined by love and laughter. Diane is survived by her husband, Patrick; son, Timothy Joseph; daughter, Molly Katherine; two brothers, Tim (Leslie) Wellington and Dennis (Sue) Wellington; two sisters, Ann (Joseph) Ryan and Betsy Wellington; treasured nieces and nephews; and one lonely Chihuahua. Diane's parents, Kenneth and Marjorie Wellington, predeceased her. Diane asked that charitable donations be considered for St. Jude Children's Hospital (brain tumor research) (www.stjude.org) or the Joseph Andrea Cancer Center, United Hospital System, Kenosha (www.unitedhospitalsystem.org), Hospice Alliance of Kenosha, (www.hospicealliance.net) or, alternately, make a friend laugh so hard that pop shoots out their nose. We will celebrate her life at a Funeral Mass at St. Mary Catholic Church, 7307 40th Ave., Kenosha, on April 26 at 11 a.m. Preceding the Service will be a visitation with the family at the front of the church, starting at 9:30 a.m.
