Nyssa

Curtis Allen Reece, 60, of Nyssa, Ore., passed away with loved ones by his side Friday, July 27, 2012, in a care facility in Vale, Ore.

Curtis was born to Lyle and Isal Reece March 12, 1952, in Nyssa. He graduated from Nyssa High School in 1970. Curtis married Peggy King in 1974, and their only child, Angie was born in September of 1976. The couple later divorced in 1997. Curtis never met a stranger thus leading him into his life career of selling farm equipment for B&M and Hollingsworth. He prided himself on the relationships he built while doing what he loved. Before he retired due to poor health he worked for Doug Tracey of Albertson Farms. Curtis was an avid hunter and fisherman and shared that passion with his two brothers and many friends.

Curtis is survived by his daughter, Angie (Jason) and step-grandchildren, Abigail, Madilynn, Caden and Anna Richardson, of Nampa, Idaho; sister, Linda Lamb, of Seattle, Wash.; brothers, Jonathan and Lance (Sandy) Reece; step-brother, Jess Hoover and dear friend, Bert Purcell all of Nyssa; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be held Monday, Aug. 6, at 10 a.m. at the Lienkaemper Chapel, Nyssa.
