I found my copy of Tom's obituary. This is what was written in the local newspaper.
Services for George T. "Tom" Stringer, 31, Nyssa, who died Sunday at home, will be conducted at 11 am Wednesday in Lienkaemper Chapel, Nyssa by the Rev.Ron Kemp of St Paul Lutheran Church, Ontario. Interment will follow in Nyssa cemetery.
He was born October 2,1949, in Ontario. He was reared and educated in Nyssa. He attended and graduated from Nyssa High School. He attended and graduated from Oregon State University. After he traveled for a while, he returned to Nyssa, where he ranched.
Survivors include his father, Vaughn and a brother, Mike, both of Nyssa; two sisters, Anne Mather of Boise and Mrs. Dirk (Nancy) DeBoer of Nyssa; maternal grandfather, F.E. Thompson of Bel Air, Md; and paternal grandmother, Effie Liddle of W. Jefferson, N.C.
