Such fond memories of Wayne . . . he was a very special friend at Nyssa Hi and at Oregon State. Wayne and I used to commute between Nyssa and Corvallis during college days. Sometimes he drove; sometimes I drove; and sometimes we drove our cars in tandem. He was such a character – always busy on an art project that was his true passion. I set him up with a date or two and he set me up with a frat brother of his – none of these arrangements panned out but we remained good friends. Wayne painted, threw pots and totally embraced life of the “60’s". One of my favorite possessions is a ceramic bowl he made for me when we were at OSU.
