I went with Don most of high school, married him in 1972 and we had 2 very wonderful children, Jessica who is now 34 and has a little girl McKenna Christine McKay 5, and Amber who is now 31 and has a bigger girl Mayze Audra Kenney 8. I loved Don very much but some of our old habbits from high school were too hard for him to overcome and his life was very hard. He just couldn't find happiness and took his life before he could see his beautiful grandkids. I hope he will find happiness in his future life.
I did not know about this...I am happy to see that you have over come the loss and that you have found happiness. We never know where we will find it. Just take it when and while we can. I can see that you do that.
Don was one of my best friends growing up. Very smart guy, carried me through math in high school. Summers sleeping out overnight in his back yard, hanging out with Monty and Rick trying to figure out who we were and where we fit. I moved away and lost touch except for our 10th reunion which was the last time we talked. I feel really bad that his life ended so early. Peace Don.
