If I remember correctly she was our class advisor...I remember her helping with the baked potatoes for the football games. She made us rub the spuds with bacon fat. "It makes the skin crispy" she said...We always sold out.
She was a true advocate for children and their education.
I loved those baked potatoes and have never tasted one like them since. I never knew about the bacon fat. I remember how Mrs. B would walk around behind someone who was talking in the library and flick them in the back of the head with her finger. It hurt, and I never talked in the library again, at least not when she was anywhere near me.
