His bark was worse than his bite. He seemed rough and tough and strict on the outside but on the inside, he had a big heart. I respected him as a teacher and coach. He was definitely old school. He really cared about teaching his students and players and preparing them for life.
Harry McGinley was a nice caring man who I respected. Yes I did receive the flying eraser in Geometry class while talking with Patsy Waite instead of listening and paying attention to the lesson. Harry knew alot about athletics and he helped me in my own athletic career. It seems like yesterday when I sat and watched football with him while waiting for Ruth Ann.
