I loved that man! He was such a sweetheart. We lived next door to Kinsey when I was a Jr. and Sr. He use to bet me a coke I couldn't get a 100% on his tests and then he would wait till I had a 6pack before he delivered. I visited him several times after graduation and wrote to him. He always drew little pictures on his letters. His wife was very nice too, we corresponded for many years.
Kinsey was a great guy. He brought history alive for me. I took a lot of history in college and I'm sure it was because I had Kinsey for a teacher.
I remember his story about coming out west during the Depression. He needed a tire for his car and got one from a tire swing. His stories were wonderful. He was such a nice person.
