Mike McGregor

Michael J. McGregor, 44, of Bloomington, Ill., died June 29, 2004, following a motorcycle accident. Funeral services were held July 2 at the Carmody-Flynn Funeral Home and at St. Marys Church in Bloomington with Michael's brother, Rev. Mark McGregor, officiating. Burial was in the Holy Cross Cemetery, Normal, Illi. with military rites accorded. Donations may be made to the McGregor Children's Education Fund, c/o National City Bank, Bloomington, IL or to Debra McGregor, 2016 Fallen Oak Rd., Bloomington, IL 61704. Michael was born June 14, 1960, in Puerto Rico, the son of Leonard and Pat Krell McGregor. He married Debra A. Graff Oct. 1, 1982 at Bolingbrook. Survivors include his wife Debra; his parents, Leonard and Pat McGregor of Whidbey Island; four children, Michael McGregor, Christopher McGregor, Tyler McGregor and Melissa McGregor, all at home; two brothers, Father Mark McGregor Fairfield, Conn., and Dean (Liane) McGregor of Germany; and one sister, Ann (Tom) Marquardt of Watertown, S.D. Michael, a graduate of Oak Harbor High School, 1978, served in the U.S. Marine Corps and served as an instrument technician supervisor for the AmerGen Energy Corps nuclear power plant in Clinton. He was a past triathlon participant and enjoyed running, biking and swimming.
