Dottie was a quiet and sweet person. I'd known her and her family since 4th grade. I still see her brother Mike now and then. She is missed.

I remember Dottie after moving to Whidbey Island from Oceana Virginia. She was our neighbor in Oceana as well as at Capehart Housing. I remember her love of drawing cats and horses at Crescent Harbor Elementaryl. She was very artistic.
I was very shocked when I heard of her death.

Dottie Latsha was my best friend since grade school. We lived across the field from each other in capehart housing. She spent almost every weekend at my house. My mom used to make a huge bowl of popcorn and we'd stay up late watching scary movies on Friday night. Dot would get so scared she would say she was tired and pretend to be sleeping! She had three lovely children, and I am still close to her daughter Marilyn who now has children of her own. I will never have a friend like Dottie again in my lifetime and I miss her every day. She was a real gem. Julie Wiggins

I left Whidbey after my sophmore year and I do not remember too many people, but I remember Dottie. I always thought she was so pretty and sweet. Does anyone know why she died?

I heard that she was murdered by her husband and he got away with it.  Too sad
