Brian passed away January 25, 2026 after suffering from demetia. Here is a loving tribute his wife Sarah posted on Facebook:
We lost a great man on Sunday, January 25th. Brian was a wonderful family man. Quality time with family and friends was important to him. He didn't come from a big family, but my large family welcomed him with open arms. He had a kind heart and always thought of others before himself. He loved all kinds of music. He was a great cook. He loved animals, especially dogs. I know he's up there playing fetch again with our dog, Gabby. He's also with his dad cracking jokes and shooting pool.
If you knew Brian, you would know he loved to make people laugh most of all. He was always the jokester and didn't care how goofy or silly he acted to get a laugh out of people. He had such a light-hearted, fun-loving personality.
He was a loving husband. He would do simple, little things that he knew would make me happy. He was the best father figure to my daughter. He called himself her "b.u.d." (back up dad). He was an amazing dad to our son for as long as he was able to be. It hurts my heart that their relationship was cut short.
For those who didn't know, Brian was diagnosed with Early Onset Alzheimer's just 6 short years ago. It's so unfair that this disease stole him away from us far too soon. He lived a great life, only to have his memories of it and of the people in it erased. We slowly lost a little bit of him everyday. That's why Alzheimer's is referred to as the long goodbye. It's like you're grieving someone while they're still here because they aren't the same person anymore. Even though you physically left us not long ago, I've missed YOU for a very long time.
