I had not seen Mike until one day probably 15 to 20 years after our graduation, I was reading in the library at work when the man sitting across the table from me looked up and exclaimed "hey Richard, I'm Mike Gibbs --we went to high school together!" Mike was a scientist working to discover new drugs to treat diabetes at Pfizer Research. We saw each other often at work after that. He was a dedicated researcher and a good guy.
Mike passed away in 2013 from cancer. He had a great career in pharmacological research. I will remember Mike as a serious student but with a sense of humor.
