Judd was always a quiet lanky guy.  A friend to many but never in the spotlight.  Judd passed away March 16, 2015  Below is an excerpt from Judd's obituary...

Judd Thomas Brown, age 59, of Oak Ridge, passed away at his home on Monday, March 16.

He was born in Oak Ridge on April 20, 1955, to parents Vivian Loftis and Emogene Judd Brown.

Judd was a member of Kern Memorial United Methodist Church, was very active as an amateur radio operator “AB4DC,” enjoyed everything about nature, enjoyed his Boston terriers, and target shooting.

Judd Brown and I knew each other because our mothers shared the same labor room when we were born! I made it in just a few hours before Judd.

I will always remember how well Judd conducted the tours at the Museum of Science and Energy.

Judd was my next door neighbor.  We always sat next to each other in alphabetical order.

I will always appreciate how Judd took my Cub Scouts and later Boy Scouts around the museum and taught them the Atomic Energy badge.  It was so great to reconnect with him after so many years.  He was an excellent and knowledgeable teacher.
