David Wayne Bernal
"The Dancing Bear"
Born in Oakland, CA. September 10, 1947- died in Carmel Valley, CA. on September 2, 2012 of a heart attack.
Beloved oldest son of Shirley M. Bernal and William Bernal, deceased. Loyal brother, friend and confidant to Linda de Maria, Maureena Turman, John Bernal and Bill Bernal Jr. Uncle to Richie, Kristen, Jacob, Michael, Ryan and Ashley. Dave retired after 22 years with the SF Chronicle Teamster member Local #921, to Carmel Valley with his companion dogs Rags, Spanky and little Abbey. Living and helping family and friends in the community, volunteering for events for the various Kiwanis and SPCA of Monterey County and vacationing in Kauai, a place he loved and spent much time. The last few years took their toll on Dave and his ability to do things that meant the most to him.
Will miss you forever our humble dear brother. Till we meet again in the kingdom of Heaven. Aloha.
