I first encountered Richard when I was probably in 4th or 5th grade -- he would visit w/my brothers. I was so in awe of his size, that I can't remember if it was me or my sister Marsha that first coined the phrase, "Big Colley" And, that became his street name ever since. He was a gentle giant.
The two things that spring to mind when I remember Richard is his height (I believe he was 6' in fifth grade) and his huge smile (which he wore always, alongside those dimples). Richard was just one of the sweetest, nicest classmates. A true gentleman....
