After graduating I attended Ohio University for 2 years. I met my husband who owned a Natural Food store, so worked with him for 5 years. We sold out and moved to Marin County , California , which is the county across Golden Gate, from San Francisco. I became a Certified Massage therapist, and had a practice there. I also had a wholesale sprout business which turned into Organic gardening retail store. Lived there about 16 years. After getting divorced, my new partner and I bought property in the very northern part of California, at the base of Mt. Shasta, then later also bought an old Mortuary in the town of Weed. We split up ,I stayed in Siskiyou Co. a very beautiful area, which has numerous opportunities to enjoy the great outdoors. Sold the house and designed and built a new small passive solar house on 6 acres . Much easier to manage than the huge old mortuary. I now manage a beautiful nursery in the town of Mt. Shasta , we are open only 7 months of the year. Then on time off I paint, watercolor, oils and acrylics. Do manage to sell a few. I have now been in a 16 year relationship with Jeffrey, but we have our own homes, 2 miles away is close enough! I have lived in 2 log cabins, an old train station, an old church, a warehouse, the mortuary, and I do have a tipi now in the back yard. No children of my own , but have helped Jeffrey with his now long left home son... I do visit Oberlin at least one time a year, to see my family. Last time there was this last January. I think I will be coming this summer, but not likely in time for reunion.

School Story:

Yes, Alan Brady I will never forget the struggle of the Latin class.!! Over the years I have had a few chance meetings of fellow students. My Mother arranged for a sweet get together with Kathy Gruder and Jeanie Clark, was great to see them. I have seen karen Long at the book store. One time I ran into Wayne West, when my Mother was at the hospital, he was working there then. One time Alice Miller, who was in class until the last year, came into my garden business in Marin, she was on crutches , broken ankle. I believe she was living in Berkley. Best chance meeting was with Mark Smith. I had taken the ferry over to San Fran and I was on an escalator going up, and across the going down was someone that I thought looked like him , so I called his name I saw him look about of course I was already way passed going up. Since I saw him turn his head, i just scrambled to go back down and caught up with him. We spent a lovely hour chatting , as I waited for my ferry. He was living in Seattle at the time, and was in town for business. I am grateful for attending such a great school, we had a lot of great classes, art and music, sports, things that are now cut out of the typical school systems. We even had Free driver's education. !! Unheard of now.
