When I think of high school years, Barbara Ann definitely comes to mind. I was not that familiar with her in grade school but was somehow introduced to her during my 9th grade year. We quickly became friends, Barbara Ann always smiling but when she became angry, she was angry. I was in awe of her my sophomore year because she was already working! She worked at a couple of the nursing homes on the south side of town. I would to to visit her at work and she would introduce me to the patients. Barbara Ann had a playful way about herself. She married shortly after high school and our paths did not cross much after that. I still miss her!
Barbara Ann...she was a friend from grade school through graduation. A lot of girls thought she was tough, but she wasn't...she just stood up for herself, something most of us needed to learn how to do. I can't think of Barbara without thinking of Robert Earl....we lost them way too soon.
