I had the opportunity to serve on the Oberlin Board of Trustees for 12 years. My first passion has always been public service, and I was very fortunate to serve in the Ohio legislature for 10 years, as Ohio Attorney General, and as Ohio Lt. Governor. I also served as President/CEO of the Center for Families and Children and President/CEO of a national organization, CEOs for Cities.
Now I get to help educate and train a new generation of leaders as a law school dean at Cleveland-Marshall Law School at Cleveland State University.
Grateful for lifelong friends like Richard Haass, Ken Kay, Peter Davenport, Josh Bogin, and Diane Yu and the support that Jerry Greenfield gave me in all my political campaigns - he personally served Ben & Jerry's ice cream at lots of my campaign events!
Loved playing frisbee and softball on the Quad and my time with Ken Kay creating and running the Oberlin Political Caucus after May 4, 1970.
