Ocala - Mr. Michael Latral Bernard, an Army Veteran, was born August 19, 1962 to the late T.B. Bernard and Lorine Brown Bernard. Michael completed his earthly journey early Friday morning, October 28, 2011. He leaves to cherish his memories a loving son, Michael Durell Bernard of Cocoa, FL; seven brothers, Vernon Bernard of Williston, FL, Thomas Bernard of Ocala, FL, Nathaniel Bernard of Columbus, Georgia, Darry Lee Brown of Augusta, GA, Jerome Brown of Ocala, FL, Ricky Bernard of Tampa, FL, and his baby brother/caretaker, Gregory Bernard of Ocala, FL; seven sisters, Wilma Bernard Chisholm, Patricia Bernard Jones, Sharon Brown Coaxum, Dirann Bernard, Debra Bernard Wooden, Karen Bernard Woodberry all of Ocala, FL, and Rena Bernard Roberts of Jacksonville, FL; two aunts, two uncles, a special friend, Margaret Gilbert of Ocala, FL; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and loving friends. Funeral services for Mr. Bernard will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 5, 2011 at New St. John M.B. Church, 2251 NW 2nd Street, Ocala, FL 34475; Rev. T.L. Brooks, Pastor. Visitation will be Thursday, November 3, 2011 from 11:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. and family wake services will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. both at Brown Memorial Funeral Home and Cremation Services, LLC Memorial Chapel, 706 SW Martin Luther King Ave., Ocala, FL 34471. Interment will be at a later date at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL.
