He attended 12 years of school with this class.  Gunnery Sargent Mark Powell( USMC)  died 2008 at age 34. He was a 13 yr marine. He died 2 years after a vehicle wreck while on recruiting duty in NC.  He did not die from combat injuries. He is survived by a wife Mary (X marine) and son Damian (Jr) born 08. Mark accomplished a lot in his life.   He raced cars in California, Scuba dived in Japan, Rode bulls with the military PBR in Calif. just to name a few. He went to many schools in the marines and was recognized and received awards for his numerous accomplishments.  He was an avid fisherman and boater.  A loving husband and father and a lifetime marine. Our son loved East Coweta High Senoia/Sharpsburg, Ga. Please notify alumni and teachers at your next reunion.  Thank you parents, Joe and Janelle Powell
