I knew Drew from our 6th grade class at Austin Elementary where we were both in Mr. Clyde Curlee's class. (This class photo can be viewed at "Classmate's Old Pics". The photo is 2nd from the end and Drew is in the center of the 2nd row).

Drew introduced his wife, Jeanne, to Joyce and me during the 50Th Reunion's Saturday Morning OHS tour. Jeanne is a member of Lubbock's Monterey High School's Class of 1960 and is a very nice and charming lady.

Drew will be missed by all of us who knew him.

Drew Holderman was my first "boy friend". All the Odessa classmates of Pecan Plantation are in shock. I will write more later about Drew, but I am not capable at the moment.

Since yesterday I have thought of little else. Seeing Drew in his usual easy-going style, with a smile for one and all at the 50th reunion was how I will always remember him. Jeanne, I can't even begin to say the appropriate thing to you, except to say you will be in my prayers for a long time. I know how you loved your man.
Love,
Jerry Sizemore McGregor

Drew was my brother by another mother. When notified of his passing it overwhelmed me as very few things have in my lifetime. He and I were at one anothers home almost every week and Virginia, his mother always treated me as one of hers and the same at my home. I was able to spend several weekends with Jeanne and Drew at their new home in Pecan Plantation and will treasure those days forever. My prayers and support for you Jeanne. Wayne Weaver.
