ODESSA - Carl Dean Davis, 76, of Odessa, passed away on Thursday, September 15, 2016 in Odessa.

Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00pm Friday, September 16, 2016 at Sunset Memorial Gardens and Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00pm Saturday, September 17, 2016 at Sunset Memorial Gardens and Funeral Home with Reverend Dr. Jimmy Braswell officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.

Carl was born in Platter, Oklahoma to Carl Arthur and Mabel Davis on October 6, 1939. He went to school in Odessa. He married Barbara Ziegler Davis on April 15, 1960 in Odessa. They shared 56 years of marriage full of love and joy. He worked at Albertson's as a department manager and clerk for 20 years. Carl loved spending time at the Lake House and working in his yard. His grandchildren and great-grandchildren were his pride and joy. 

Carl is preceded in death by his parents Carl and Mabel Davis. 

He is survived by his loving wife Barbara Davis, sons Walter Davis of El Paso, Texas, Larry D. Davis and wife Marnie Davis of Odessa, Texas, Brother Donald R. Davis and sisters LoAnne Manion and husband Donnie of Early, Texas, Betty Beardslee of Crane, Texas, Twana McMurian and husband Bob of Comanche, Texas. He is also survived by six grandchildren Trent Davis and wife Amber Davis of Temple, Texas, Rachel Stevenson and husband Blaklen of Andrews, Texas, Troy Davis of Odessa, Texas, Andrew Davis of Fort Worth, Texas, Jordan Davis of Abilene, Texas, Landry Davis of Andrews, Texas, four great-grandchildren Gentry Stevenson, Ellen Stevenson, Dawson Davis, and Addison Davis and his mother in-law Betty Ziegler of Odessa, Texas
