Nancye E. (Pittman) Castleberry, 69, of Hot Springs, Arkansas, died Tuesday, April 20, 2010. Nancye was born in Jessieville, Arkansas. She lived most of her childhood through teenage years in Odessa, Texas and graduated Odessa High School in 1959.
Nancye moved to Longview, Texas in 1970 where she raised her three children with her husband, Boyce Alexander. She was of the Christian Faith and worked as a secretary for her own home improvement business.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Melvin Vermont and Mercelle (McBee) Pittman; husband Bill Castleberry, and two brothers – Bill and Vernon Pittman. Survivors include her sons – David Alexander and wife Diane of Dallas Texas, Randy Alexander and wife Kimberly of Dallas, Texas; daughter - Laura Civa and husband Jack of Dallas, Texas; and six grandchildren – Brooks and Reid Alexander, Parker and Paxton Alexander, and Claire and Abigail Civa.
Visitation will be from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. Friday, April 23, 2010 at Caruth-Hale Funeral Home. Service will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, April 24, 2010 at Caruth-Hale Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Steven Simpson officiating. Burial will follow at Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
