Frank Ray Cook, 70, passed away Sunday March 1, 2009 in Odessa

He was born January 3, 1939 to Norvin J. and Edith M. Cook in Dallas, Texas. Frank was a long time resident of Odessa and was a driver for Merchants Motor Lines for 29 years.

In retirement, Frank loved spending time with his grandchildren, who affectionately called him Po.  He will be greatly missed.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Jan Murr Cook of Odessa; daughter Cassi Francisco and husband James of Odessa; son, Bryan Cook and wife Olivia of Odessa; five grandchildren Amber Shifflett and husband Eric of Abilene, Matt Francisco, Tyler Cook, Noble Cook and Ella Cook,  all of Odessa; one great-grandchild Noah Shifflett of Abilene; two brothers, Robert Cook and wife Janett, John Cook and wife Jane both of Odessa.

Visitation with the family will be 5-7 PM Wednesday, March 4, 2009 in Sunset Memorial Funeral Home. Gravesides services are scheduled for 11:00 AM Thursday, March 5, 2009 in Sunset Memorial Gardens with Jimmy Braswell officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Sunset Funeral Home.

Frank Ray Cook passed away Feb of 2009. He actually graduated from Ector in 1958.  Frank, like many of us, consider ourselves OHS alumni. His obit can be verified in the Odessa American if you care to include him in the OHS memorials.
