JERRY HARRIS, OHS 1959  (June 27, 1941 - Dec 2, 2014.

Jerry Scott Harris, 73, passed away at his residence in Plano, Texas from a sudden illness. Even in rapidly failing health, he never lost his sense of humor. Jerry was born in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to parents Scott Everett and Hollen Morine Harris. He attended public schools in Odessa, Texas. After graduating from High School, his passion for football led him to Baylor University where he excelled as a Baylor Bear. The team had the honor of playing in the Gotham Bowl in 1961. After obtaining his BBA, he proudly served his country in the U.S. Army. Jerry had a successful career as a business owner. At the time of his death, Jerry was a CPR instructor/owner of Save A Life CPR and took great pride in educating others on the proper techniques. He is survived by his loving wife of 30 years, Carla, sister Priscilla Kemp, brother-in-law Charles, son Gary Michael, stepchildren, Cami Boland, R.C. Hirn, Kiffany Hoffman and Kristi Winters, two nephews Scott and Dave Murdock, one niece, Cheryl Cypret, loving aunts, uncles and cousins. He enjoyed spending time with grandchildren and great grandchildren. A memorial service to celebrate Jerry’s life will be held Monday, December 8, 2014 at 11:00 AM at Plano Centre, 2000 E. Spring Creek Pkwy, Plano, Texas 75074. Jerry will be laid to rest at a later date at the Dallas Ft. Worth National Cemetery, Dallas, Texas.
