She then attended and graduated from Tarleton State University with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree with honors.

She returned to Odessa, Texas, and entered the banking industry and later became an employee of Resolution Trust Company, an agency of the federal government. After several years, Theresa made the decision to live in San Antonio, Texas. Her employment with Aetna Health Insurance began in August, 1995 in their claims department, becoming a claim analyst and then a special project analyst. CVS Health acquired Aetna and became her new employer, remaining so until March 28, 2024.

Friends and relatives will remember that Theresa collected bears, bears of all types and of all sizes, and was a voracious reader. To say her bookshelves overflowed would be an understatement at best. Memories of her sweet nature, her friendly smile and laugh, and her quick, quick wit will be cherished.
