Marvin Wayne White
OLNEY - Marvin Wayne White, 41, of McKinney, Texas, died Saturday, Sept. 28, 2002, in a San Antonio Hospital.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. today, Oct. 1, 2002, at Lunn Funeral Home in Olney with the Rev. Paul Jones, pastor of the First Church of God in Odessa, Texas, and Scotte Clark, minister of the Hamilton Street Church of Christ, officiating. Interment will be in the Restland Cemetery under the direction of Lunn Funeral Home.
Mr. White was born Dec. 24, 1960, in Odessa, Texas, to Tommy and Beverly (Daniel) White. He and Elaine McCormack were married Dec. 19, 1998, in Odessa, Texas. He graduated from Permian High School in Odessa. He also graduated from UTPB. He taught middle school in Duncanville, Texas, for one year and was currently teaching at McKinney High School in McKinney, Texas. He had a great love for his God, his family and friends. He loved to write and sing gospel music and play the guitar and grand piano. He was a wonderful Christian man and was considered a gentle giant by his friends. He was a member of the First Church of God in Odessa. He moved to McKinney in 2000 from Duncanville.
Survivors include his wife, Elaine of McKinney, Texas; parents, Tommy and Beverly White of Odessa, Texas; grandmother, Ruth Daniel of Olney, Texas; mother and father-in-law, John and Joan McCormack of Belfast, Northern Ireland; and a sister-in-law, Caroline McCormack of Belfast, Northern Ireland.
