Jana Kaye Hammitt

January 6, 1963 - November 22, 2009

Jana passed away Sunday, November 22, 2009 in Roswell.  She was born January 6, 1963 at Odessa, Texas.  She had lived in Roswell for the past 9 months and moved there from Ruidoso where she had lived since 2004 and moved to Ruidoso from Pennsylvania.   Survivors include her daughter, Brittany Thomas; sons, Justin Slaughter and Joshua Slaughter; her mother, Carol Hammitt; her father and step mother, Robert "Bob" and Sandi Hammitt and her grandfather, W.W. "Watt" Wilkinson.

I just saw this and was so saddened to hear she had passed. Jana and I had choir together and I have often wondered where she was. She wil be missed.

Oh my goodness!  Does anyone know how she died?  This was such a shock.  I am so saddened by this!  God bless her family.

Jana and I were close friends in High School but lost touch when I went off to college.  This is so sad!!  I wish I knew how she died?
