Floyd had attended San Jacinto, Bowie and Odessa High.  He also attended OC for two years then entered the U.S. Air Force.  He had served in Vietnam as a member of the AF Air Police.  He was divorced and the father of a daughter.  He was killed in a car accident in Austin on December 5, 1988,  He had been living in Austin since 1978.  Floyd's funeral was held in Odessa at his older brother's funeral home and he was laid to rest in Sunset Memorial Garden's Cemetery.  I attended his funeral and Floyd was just one of the hard working ordinary guys.
