Johnny was living in Victoria, Texas and working selling cars for the Ford Dealership.  He was a licensed pilot and was flying a rented Beechcraft Musketeer aircraft and he crashed the aircraft in the early night hours as he was attempting to land.  The aircraft was found in a rice field about a mile and half from the airport.  Johnny perished in the crash.  He was laid to rest in the Memory Garden's Cemetery in Victoria.   He was survived by his wife.
