T. L. “Larry” Henderson, age 60, passed away July 4, 2007, at his home, surrounded by family and friends. He was born October 6, 1946, in Longview, Texas, to T.P. and Nova Henderson.

He graduated from Odessa High School in 1965 and attended Odessa Junior College and Texas Tech University. He served with the Attack Squadron 145, A-6 Intruder Aircraft aboard the USS Enterprise in Vietnam and Korea. Larry was proud to have achieved Eagle Scout status and was a member of Andy G. Vaughn Lodge No. 1421 Masonic Lodge of Odessa, a Charter member of Lubbock Scottish Rite Bodies and a member of the Alzafar Shrine Temple of San Antonio.

He was a life member of the Texas Wildlife Association and the National Rifle Association. He was a resident of Bulverde since 1987 and a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church. Larry was an independent contractor in the Oil & Gas and Wireless Telecommunication businesses.

He was an avid scuba diver, hunter and enjoyed farming and ranching several properties that he and his wife owned.

He was preceded in death by his parents. Larry is survived by his loving wife of 21 years, Karen J. Henderson; and one daughter.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, July 8, 2007, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Porter Loring Mortuary North. Life Celebration will be at noon Monday, July 9, 2007, at Porter Loring Mortuary North Chapel. Pastor Rusty Brady will officiate. Masonic services will be conducted under the Auspices of Harlandale Lodge 1213 A.F. & A.M. Interment with Military Honors will follow in Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Gary Bowen, Charles Hardy, Glenn Keasler, Tom Madison, David Neel and Michael Perkins.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation, 383 Main Avenue, 5th Floor, Norwalk, CT 06851 and Texas Wildlife Association, 2800 NE Loop 410, Suite 105, San Antonio, TX 78218.
