On July 2, 2024, Linda Carol Karnes Hamill passed away peacefully in Palestine, Texas at the age of 77.

Linda was born on April 10, 1947 in Odessa, Texas to parents William (Bill) and Bonnie (Wright) Karnes. She grew up in Odessa with her younger brother and sisters. She graduated from Odessa High School in 1965.

She raised her three boys Robert (Robbie), Michael (Mike), and Mitchell (Mitch). She was Mamer to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In 1989, she began a twenty-two-year career at Texas Department of Criminal Justice, retiring in 2011.

She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Robbie: sister, Gail Hall: and brother-in-law, Darrell Hall.

Linda is survived by her sons, Mike and wife Brittany, Mitch; grandchildren: Brittani, Brayson, Dustin, Micah, Abbie, Ayden, and Ava; great-grandchildren, Alexandria and Adalynn: brother, Bill and wife Annette Karnes; and sister, Jeannie Beard.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m.Saturday, August 24, 2024, at Herrington / Land of Memory Funeral Home Chapel.
