Gail Lynette Mersereau (Szenasi)

Gail Lynette Mersereau Szenasi, 60, a longtime resident of Cedar Crest, NM died Monday, March 12, 2007.  She is survived by her husband of 38 years, James Joseph Szenasi of Cedar Crest, son, Robert Clay Szenasi and his daughter, Alanna of Albuquerque; son, Daniel Joseph Szenasi and wife, Emilie of Albuquerque; son David James Szenasi and wife, Talitha of Durango, CO; father, Robert Claude Mersereau and wife, Irene of Albuquerque; and mother, Wanda Sims of Odessa, TX.  Gail Szenasi was born on December 26, 1946 n Portales, NM.  Gail was a dedicated Christian and member of Mountain Christian Church in Cedar Crest.  Gail was a skilled martial artist.  She has been in karate wilth her three sons and granddaughter where she and her oldest son, Clay, achieved the rank of 2nd degree black belt.  Dr. Gail Szenasi was an educator and statiistical researcher.  She received her bachelor's and master's degree in education at Texas Tech University.  She received her Doctor of Philosophy at the University of New Mexico.  She was a member of the American Psychological Association.  She started as a kindergarten teacher and became Head Mistress at Sunset Mesa Schools.  She taught graduate level statistics at the University of New Mexico.  She worked at Sandia National Laboratory as a seniolr training consultant.  She was owner of Research ETC doing statistical research, training and consulting.  A memorial service will be held for Gail at 6:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 14 2007 at Heights Cumberland Presbyterian Church on 8600 Academy Blvd. NE.  French Mortuary 10500 Lomas Blvd NE 505-275-3500 are in charge of services.
