  
Linda Kaye Pierce Forsyth, 76, of Comanche, Texas passed away Thanksgiving Day, November 23, 2023. Linda had been living with her son and daughter in law for the past five years due to ill health.
Linda was born December 7, 1946 in the Altus Air Corp Base Hospital, in Altus, Oklahoma to the marriage of Virginia Elsie Bixby and Jess H. Pierce. At the time of her birth her father was serving in the Army Air Corp. The family moved to Odessa, Texas once her father was discharged from the Army, and her brother Frank was born in 1948.
Linda attended school at San Jacinto Elementary, Bowie Junior High and Odessa High School. She was a member of the Acapella Choir and graduated in 1965. She attended Texas Tech University and The University of Texas at El Paso. After her marriage to John Forsyth in 1970, they moved to Jacksonville, Florida and Linda then moved to Houston and acquired a divorce. She attended night school at Houston Community College and obtained an associate's degree in secretarial science.
John and Linda were the parents of two children, Matthew and Laura. Linda had spent her early years working as a legal assistant and shortly after getting her AA degree she moved to Huntsville to take a job with the Texas Department of Criminal Justice as a legal assistant to attorneys who worked on inmates legal issues. Linda retired in 2012 after 20 years of service.
Linda loved birds and genealogy. She claimed that her best friend was an Eclectus Parrott, named Scarlet. Scarlet passed away in 2022.
She is preceded in death by her parents and her brother Frank. She is survived by her son Matthew and wife of Comanche, Texas and her daughter Laura and husband Gary Dezler of College Station, Texas. She also is survived by 8 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
Her daughter stated that she hopes Linda is in heaven driving in her convertible with her red hair blowing the breeze.
There were no services and Linda was cremated at her request..
